It’s been a busy week. I’ve completed two chapters that are key to pushing forward with my ending for In Chains. Very excited to get this book finished, but even though I am so close to completion, I am trying not to rush the last three chapters. If things work out the way they are supposed to, this ending will stand out from the others. In Chains has been filled with action and adventure, and while it is a paranormal ROMANCE novel, I find it has a lot of independent action for my heroine.
What I love about my Destined Series is that the women are evolving with every book. They are breaking out of preconceived molds and creating lives for themselves. So far Lysandra and Malinda have lit up the pages, but with each book you’ve learned a little more about April and Brenda too. I’ve always thought of making independent books for those two, but they are such key back up characters that I would just as well keep them that way.
So what’s next after I finish In Chains? More than likely the Destined Series will take a slight hiatus. I have several books that I need to be working on and the next Destined book-In Shadows- will take a little more effort to create. I know key elements to it, and where I want it to end, but all the bits in the middle are not quite hashed out yet. I’m not sure I will be able to top In Chains from a Woman of Lena perspective, which is why I’m not even going to try. When I write In Shadows, it will be about the Lair and the Shadow Guild. How am I going to accomplish that? I’m not telling. Have a great weekend, everyon!
