Cover Reveal for Royal Pains by Nina Mason

Royal Pains Cover Reveal for September 16 posting

Today we are revealing the new covers for Nina Mason’s Royal Pains, an erotic series set in Scotland and England during the Restoration period (the latter half of the 17th century, for those who don’t know). Ms. Mason decided to put new, sexier covers on the series to celebrate the launch of book three, THE DEVIL’S MASQUERADE. All three new covers, the blurbs for the books, and the buy links follow:

Royal Pains, Book One
DEVIL IN DUKE’S CLOTHING

Innocence lost. Paradise found.

Maggie York, a convent-raised foundling, knows the Duke of Dunwoody’s
sexual tastes are a shade or two darker than most, but marries him
anyway—partly because she has no other prospects and partly because, try
as she might, she can’t seem to stop fantasizing about her dashing rake
of a guardian.

Robert Armstrong, the duke, is a Roman Catholic whose extreme
devotions as a child warped his desires as a man. He’s also a slave to
the times in which he lives–and to his king. Everything he is,
everything he holds dear, depends on staying in Charles II’s good
graces. Unfortunately, Maggie isn’t the bride the king selected for him.
Now, to make amends, the duke must either whore his wife or be reduced
to a penniless and unprotected commoner at a time when Catholics are
persona non grata in Great Britain.

Buy it now!

Royal Pains, Book Two
THE DUKE’S BEDEVILED BRIDE

The tawdry tale of the Duke and Duchess of Dunwoody continues…

Maggie Armstrong, the long-lost illegitimate daughter of the heir
presumptive to the throne, is bedeviled by her husband’s limited
definition of fidelity. After observing him in a ménage à trois at the
court of King Charles II, she is determined to bring him around to her
way of thinking—

by any means necessary.

Robert doesn’t mind being punished for his transgressions. Rather,
he enjoys being whipped, especially by his beloved bride. Unfortunately,
her heart might not belong to him alone. His younger brother, who he’d
sent abroad to clear the way for himself, is coming home sooner than
expected, and Maggie’s feelings for Hugh may not be as dead as her
husband had hoped.

Both duke and duchess soon learn, to their peril, Hugh Armstrong is
not the honorable man they’d been led to believe. Insanely jealous of
his brother’s situation, Hugh will stop at nothing to strip Robert of
all he holds dear—including his life.

But the real danger for Robert and Maggie is not the villainous
Marquess, but the growing friction betwixt Catholics and Protestants in
Restoration Era Great Britain.

Can their love survive the trials that await them?

Royal Pains, Book Three
THE DEVIL’S MASQUERADE

Beware the devil in disguise…

The year is now
1685 and Maggie’s father has just been crowned King of Great Britain,
but that doesn’t mean trouble is over for the Duke and Duchess of
Dunwoody. Rather than cool the flames of hatred between Papists and
Protestants, the coronation of a Catholic monarch has only added
accelerant to the already raging blaze. Two-faced devils lurk in every
corner of the royal court, as do diseases with the power to kill and
maim. When Robert falls prey to the smallpox virus, it looks as though
Maggie will lose the two people most precious to her–her beloved
husband and their only child–the son she bore three months before after
five years of heartbreaking miscarriages and stillbirths. The one
person in London who can help save her son demands a steep price in
exchange her services. Will Maggie trade Robert’s hard-won fidelity to
save her only child…or offer the apothecary an even more scandalous
alternative?
Disclaimer: Royal Pains, intended for readers 18 years and older, features flagellation, bondage, group sex, and other highly erotic situations.

Hello Thursday

I need to apologize. I’m sorry. I’ve neglected our weekly updates. I hope you’ll forgive me. I’ve been pretty busy getting my next plot lines set up.  I meant to touch base with you after I went to Penned Con. I met some pretty awesome people and have some new books to read like Amy Hale, Sidonia Rose, and Terry Maggert. My current read is from Amy Hale. I love her Shadows of Jane. I met her last year at Penned Con and was so happy to connect with her more this year. Nothing could prepare me for the comic relief of Sidonia’s PA. I swear I want one of him at my table at every signing!  And Terry, seriously, I was drooling over his banners most of the weekend. Amazing covers!

I can’t even begin to explain the awesomeness that was Mark Coker. For those of us who are just starting our time in the indie trenches, he is all powerful and a little intimidating when you listen to him dish out his info in his panels, but you know what? He’s the most down to earth person you’ll ever meet and truly hilarious too. I will never forget when he asked to sit at our table for lunch. #awesome #fatesaligned  #fanforlife #smashwords. Can’t say enough.

What have you been up to? I’d love to chat with you. Feel free to look me up at Facebook, twitter, or even talk to me here. I promise I’m working on being more present. Life just gets overwhelming sometimes.

Let’s Talk with Bennet Pomerantz and Rachel Thompson

I had the greatest pleasure of being on the show tonight. I wanted to make sure you all had a chance to listen in. You can find tonight’s show here at

Let’s Talk

I loved chatting with Bennet again. We always have fun. And this time, I was able to meet Rachel Thompson, fellow published author. I can’t wait to check out her books. You can find her at amazon. Here is her author page there.

Some things to know about me, whenever I go on a show I’m always praying my lips don’t stick together like they do during interviews. Sometimes, I feel like I babble and mostly that’s nervous energy, but I love working with Bennet. I never feel too self-conscious. So thankful for that.

I hope you enjoy listening to the show! Until we meet again,

Elissa Daye

We’ve moved!

For those of you who have followed me since day one, I wanted to let you know that my blog address has changed  I’ve been going back and forth with the idea of having a site solely dedicated to Elissa Daye for some time. Eventually, I will invest in a web address as well. This will make it easier for anyone to find me. Hopefully not too many people will get lost.

Just two more days and Crushed will finally be here. I really can’t wait to see what people think of one of my favorite couples. I’m hoping it will do well since it is more of a contemporary setting. I had a hard time leaving the paranormal out of this series, so there is definitely a unique twist to it.

MK_STITCHCHARACTER_7241240305

Hi! Sorry I’ve been away. We went on a dream vacation and I’ve been winding down ever since. We took the girls to Disney World for two weeks. What an amazing time! And I even got to see my favorite character. Tell me you know who this is. This guy has been entertaining me for years and my girls are learning to love him too. Nothing wrong with a little fluffy alien to lift your spirits.

My favorite memories were watching the eyes of my children as they took in all the sights. They loved the meeting the princesses the most. I think my oldest about flipped when she met Rapunzel. And throw in the whole princess boutique experience and well, she was in heaven. Definitely worth every bit of money we paid for it.
When I got back from vacation I started editing my next release, which I am happy to announce will be out next Friday. You can find it on iTunes, Smashwords, Amazon, and Barnes& Noble. I’m excited to see what everyone thinks of Keira and Daniel. I fell in love with these characters almost right away.

As always, I love to hear from you. I hope your lives are healthy and whole.

Lots of love,

Elissa

What Lies Beneath by Jamie Cortland

Good morning!  Today I wanted to share a book by a fellow World Castle Publishing author, Jamie Cortland. If you like romantic suspense, give it a try. I love a good page turner!  Romance, suspense? What more could you want?
What Lies Within cover wrap.jpgThe Blurb: Evelyn Valentino, still halfway in love with her superstar ex-husband, meets James McMann, a handsome and charismatic builder in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Meeting him in a coffee shop, she is immediately takenwith him while her young daughter calls him “Mr. Stranger Danger.”

Swept away by James and his incredible charm, she is taken on a whirlwind courtship. Warned by her parents and friends to go slowly, she ignores them. Caught in his trap, he drops his mask and Evelyn discovers he is not the man of her dreams, but the hideous creature of her nightmares. Her only thought is to escape.

Come on? A hot construction worker? Second only to a firefighter, am I right?  Would you like a teaser? I love excerpts. What better way to get a glance at a book? Here’s a small sample from this book. I love the description of the moonlight right before your heart starts racing as you wonder who in the world is chasing her.

Excerpt from Chapter 22
Moonlight flooded into the room, highlighting a man’s figure as he stood
in front of the sliding glass door that led to the swimming pool.
Her hand flew to cover her heart. Hadn’t she locked the sliding glass door?
If she had, she evidently hadn’t set the alarm, or he’d by-passed it.
He moved toward her.
She froze. Opening her mouth to scream, her voice cracked.
He laughed, a high-pitched hysterical laugh.
Her heart pounded, her vision blurred. She screamed. Turning, she kicked her stiletto heels off and ran.The sound of his footsteps behind her quickened her pace. Crash! A heavy thud sounded. Maybe he tripped and fell.

Defying Reason by Elizabeth Seckman! Just Can’t Wait!

I have to say, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us with the Coulter Clan. I’ve read the other books in her series and have enjoyed the funny wit that Ms. Seckman puts into all her characters, So far, I think Healing Summer has been my favorite, but it’s never too late to change that. Defying Reason is sure to entertain and just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you want more info about the book check further down. Also, look back to my previous posts where I’ve reviewed her books.

The Blurb:
Jo Leigh Harper comes from a long
line of trouble-making, white trash stock.
Tanner Coulter comes from a longer
line of wealth-creating, blue blood stock.
Jo graduated college top of her
class, moving toward a future full of possibilities.
Tanner dropped out of college,
trading a law degree for drinking games and one night stands.
A family crisis
throws the rich party boy and the poor genius girl together. The attraction is
immediate, though neither one is a heart-in-the-sand-drawing believer in true
love. But as the summer sun heats up along the shores of the Outer Banks, so
does the connection between them. Maybe, just maybe, they can win at love by
defying reason.

Author Bio:
Elizabeth
is a multi-published author of books for people who are believers in happily-ever-
after, true love, and stories with a bit of fun and twists with their plots.
The mother of four young men, she tackles laundry daily and is the keeper of
the kitchen. She lives along the shores of the Ohio River in West Virginia, but
dreams daily of the beach.

Happy Wednesday!

I sure hope your day is going well. Mine could be worse, that’s for sure. I’m still on a release high at this point. Banished has been our for a week and I’m excited to see how well it’s doing. My Diva’s on my street team have nothing but awesome things to say about it, which makes me happy dance a few times a day. They’ve become much more than random fans over the past year. They are my friends, my family, which I am so thankful for.

When I began this journey with Banished, I was dabbling in a genre that I had read before, but had very little experience with creating. While I have tackled dark shadows in The Land of the Shadows, there was always an inner peace and hopefulness in my character. For Banished I had to step into a realm that I had always skirted away from. Once I started the first chapter it was as if I turned out the lights and journeyed down the road I had always been afraid to walk. Anger, aggression, betrayal, hate, loathing, violence, blood, gore. They were my companions for the duration of this book. When I sat down to write, I poured every bit of these emotions into Grace’s tale. She is my very first attempt at a vampire and I really wanted to do it right. No offense to anyone who likes a light fluffier vampire, I just grew up on hard core vamps who had no problem eviscerating their foes. Those tales were never about the romance and while I have penned a handful of Paranormal Romance, I wanted Banished to be about something entirely different: learning to rid yourself of the demons that haunt you and finding a way to reconcile your life with the choices you have made.

I have to say, I was worried that I didn’t quite pull it off. I had put it to the side for so long I had forgotten the power behind the words. When I edited it the first time, I was actually quite pleased with what had come across throughout the story. Challenging myself to create this story was one of the best things I could do. I now see infinite possibilities in the future. I’ll not be limiting myself to Erotic romance or Paranormal Romance. I’ll write whichever story needs to be written and continue to follow my muse wherever she leads me.

Happy New Year!

Last year sure was a great one. Let’s recap:

The Land of the Shadows was released in the Spring, followed by In Chains:Destined Series Book 3 in late Summer. During that time I wrote 4 more books that should be coming out in 2015. The first of which will be a stand alone Urban Fantasy to be released January 2015. Then I wrote 3 books in a new erotic romance series called Press Legacy. Crushed, Little Red, and Renegade are all waiting for edits and I am hopeful they will do well. I already have the 4th one in the back of my head too. I also attending Penned Con 2014 and am planning on returning for Penned Con 2015.

So what do we have to look forward to in 2015? First, The Land of the Shadows up for $0.99 on Amazon January 1-7.  Make sure to pick up your e-copy if you haven’t already.

lots new year

When Lyssa was at her lowest, she found herself surrounded by dark entities formed entirely from shadows. Their darkness had eaten at her very core until she had almost nothing left to give. Tired of their corruption, the young witch decides to fight back by trying to locate their power source unaware that her attempts would lead her down a path that would change her life forever.

What I am really looking forward to is the release of my next novel, Banished, which is already up for pre-order. This book is a dark urban fantasy that pushes the boundaries for me. I am your typical paranormal romance author, but I found that this book was not about romance at all, but retribution and the cleansing of personal demons. I truly find this to be a darker side of Daye.

banished teaser 1

Blurb:

My time here on this world was embittered from the start. As a carrier, I had very little choice in the matter. The demon inside had been planted long before I even had a voice. From the very minute my first breath entered my body, she was coiled inside like a venomous snake. The Brotherhood wanted to control me, to keep their demon Gladius inside a host that they could groom from birth, but as soon as my mother caught on, she ripped me away from their evil clutches and kept me hidden from their reach. Under her tutelage, I had learned how to keep the monster at bay.In the darkest night, my life had spiraled to a meaningless end as my time as a mortal subsided, for I had fallen under a spell woven by the vampire Demetrius. After draining me to the brink, he tossed me aside and left me to die with the first morning light. My propensity for survival he had not calculated.

Now, I was left with a single purpose, destroy the man who had obliterated the calm control I had kept over my life, over the monster that slithered beneath.

—– It has been such an amazing year and I can only dream of what the next one will bring. I wish you all health, happiness, and love in the new year.
