Manic Monday

How are you all doing today? Sure was a hectic weekend with trying to enjoy the holiday with family. I had a lot on my plate. We had the 4th of July book sale going on at Smashwords and I’m hoping we got the word out there soon enough. I also think if we are more successful with these sales, we may have more of them.

What else? I finished my second round of edits for In Chains. I am hoping it comes out this month, but there are no guarantees. It will be out soon though and I can’t wait to see what people think about it. This book was a journey for me, a breaking point from the normal story line of the Women of Lena, for this time the story was more about the adventure and choosing your duty over your heart. I really wanted to make it about more than the steamy sex, more than just falling in love. I wanted the end to have a higher impact to my readers. If my beta readers and editor are in indicator of this, my fans are going to definitely be upset with me at the end.

What else did I do this weekend? Kept working on Crushed. I managed to break the 20k mark and am continuing to move ahead. I’m hoping to finish this book by the end of the month, but it will be a long time before it comes out more than likely. I have some tricky decisions to make on where I want to go with it. I am a creature of habit, so making huge changes is something that scares me.

So, what’s up for this week? I’m having a slower week this week since I have company coming to visit and a small mini-vacation next weekend. So, I’ll be in an out until Friday and gone the whole weekend. It will be nice to close the computer up and get away for a change. Hopefully, you won’t miss me too much. 🙂
